Fused Glass and Up-Cycled Fabric Items focusing on Team Spirit

Member since 2014

KF-Designs started in 2005 when creating fused glass items outgrew my personal needs and I became a consigning artist at Eclectics. Becoming a member artist in s a new exciting step for me and my art. I also sell at Bizarre Bazaar in Lawrence every November, eBay and Etsy. My work was included an art installation and custom pieces to meet the specific needs of clients who appreciate my work.  Sometimes a special request becomes a whole new line of items.

I began doing mosaics which lead me to fused glass. The collegiate themed pieces are the most popular and the vibrant team colors work so well with the variety of dichroic glass available with a stock of hundreds of teams available. The cornerstone of my newest jewelry collection is a Gallery Pendant that allows the wearer to switch out the dichroic glass pieces to enjoy in many ways.

Recently I have discovered the joy of repurposing things that have outlived their original use.

The Kansas City area has been my home nearly my whole life.  My three children attended the same schools I did.  My parents’ creativity spilled over into my love of making new things out of old, previously loved items.  I enjoy gardening like my mother, and learned business and art from my dad who was at Hallmark more than 30 years.
